il y a 13 ansI never understood why poor people or people who work minimum wage would require legal aid. For estate planning?
And if some poor slob needs to sue someone for civil liability, think about the conundrum. Few lawyers in Quebec take contingency fees because most lawyers are aware that under our system the chances of getting anything out of a civil suit are slim to none. So why should the government finance these lost causes with our money? If the legal system worked, we wouldn’t need legal aid.
As for criminals, if you can’t afford an attorney, don’t commit crime. If your wrongly accused… well that never happens.

Why don't you read the RJA and see if estate planning is included as a funded service, instead of asking stupid questions?

At this point, I think we all agree that you're an idiot.
