This is a new and excellent opportunity to join the legal department at the head office of a growing, collegial, and multinational company as Legal Counsel and report directly to the VP, Legal. Candidates should have approximately 2-5 years of strong corporate and commercial or m & a experience. This Legal Counsel will draft and negotiate a variety of corporate agreements (ex: asset purchases, share purchases, term sheets and service contracts) as well as commercial agreements. This Legal Counsel will also advise various business units on additional matters, such as regulatory, real estate, employment, and labour laws.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate corporate (m & a) and commercial agreements;
• Advise different company departments on legal matters and evaluate legal risks;
• Draft and implement various corporate policies; and
• Ensure that contracts are in compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a member in good standing of the Quebec Bar;
• Have approximately 2-5 years of strong commercial expertise and corporate transactional (m & a) experience;
• Have solid oral and written communication abilities, strong interpersonal skills and be a team player;
• Be business savvy;
• Possess strong problem solving and analytical abilities;
• Be driven, organized and detail oriented; and
• Be bilingual (French and English).
