Je vais répondre, puisque ça me concerne.

Me Goldwater, en recevant le jugement, a qualifié l'attitude de la juge de la Cour supérieure de "odieuse". Le système existe, la plainte est fondée. Dois-je comprendre que c'est votre position à l'effet que quiconque saisit un mécanisme d'enquête publique (comme le Syndic) a obligatoirement besoin d'une psychanalyse?

L'Honorable Lise Côté J.C.A., a saisi le syndic lorsque l'ex-Me Stéphane Gendron a fait à peu près la même chose que Me Goldwater (soit des propos personnels déplaisants et un non-respect de l'autorité du tribunal). Diriez-vous que cette juge avait aussi besoin d'une psychanalyse?

Ça m'irrite de porter le titre d'avocat lorsque d'autres, avec un tel comportement le portent aussi. Alors je fais mon possible pour éviter cela.

It never ceases to amaze me how many feathers I ruffle when I merely state the obvious: common law wives are not protected by the law, and it is odious that there is no pressure put on the government to remedy this injustice. So, instead of hating me (a common sport, judging by remarks by folks like that fellow Gendron you are happy to cite), why don't you get together and make an effort to love and cherish your fellow women? Go read the report released by McCarthys and tell me that women in Quebecois society don't need the protection of the law.
Pity you all broke away from your French forebears before «liberté, égalité et fraternité» became part of the culture. Fortunately, there is a Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that might do the job that you, the people, refuse to do.

You're confusing "de facto partners" which are not "wives" with "common law wives" which yields to the creations of legal duties from cohabitation. There are no "c.l. wives" in Quebec.

Piètre imitation... le redacteur de ce site ne devrait pas approuver des messages portant le nom d'un avocat lorsqu'il n'est pas sur que ça vient effectivement de lui/elle.

Le rédacteur comme vous dites a effectivement communiqué avec Me Goldwater pour s'assurer qu'elle était bien l'auteure de ce commentaire.

You are confusing semantics with reality. Do you call your significant other, "Oh, my de facto partner"? I even had a sociological study done specifically on this topic because, interestingly, in Quebec, the terms "blonde" and "chum" are used interchangeably with the person you knicked in the toilet at the bar and the person you married and cohabited with for 25 years. Odd, and meritworthy of an international study, I think. Only in Quebec is marriage so denigrated that it is considered "better" to call your husband or wife a "chum" (friend?!) or "blonde" (what is it with you people and women with yellow hair, eh?), instead of husband and wife, the universal terms?
All joking aside, the results of our study show that for Quebeckers, it is the romantic aspect of the intimate relationship that matters, hence the romantic terms blonde/chum, and not the formalistic terms (wife/husband) which remain indelibly associated with the vociferously rejected Catholic Church.
And whether married, or "common law" (the only expression in English, yo), or "de facto partners" (how mercantile!), the truth is that people "unite" for love and not to attract monetary benefits. The economic protections become important when the relationship ends, whether by separation, divorce or death. This is where the law must kick in to protect the surviving partner, and/or the economically disadvantaged partner.
