Lapointe Rosenstein et MMF fusionnent!

Droit-inc.com l’avait annoncé en primeur, c’est maintenant officiel : Lapointe Rosenstein et Marchand Melançon Forget fusionnent.
Les deux cabinets viennent tout juste de le confirmer dans un communiqué.
« Il s’agit d’un moment historique pour nos cabinets. Cette fusion nous permettra d’accroître notre position dans le marché francophone québécois. La tradition d’excellence et la diversité des services de Marchand Melançon Forget nous donneront la possibilité d’œuvrer dans des secteurs où nous étions moins présents et de renforcer notre gamme de services actuels » souligne Me Bruno Floriani, président du comité exécutif de Lapointe Rosenstein.
« Lapointe Rosenstein est un partenaire de choix en raison de la complémentarité de nos domaines de pratique et de la très haute réputation de ce cabinet. Cette fusion nous permettra d’offrir un plus large éventail de services et contribuera à l’essor de notre société dans le secteur commercial et des assurances » précise Me Paul Melançon, associé directeur de Marchand Melançon Forget.
Les activités des deux cabinets seront intégrées d’ici la fin de l’année, afin que la fusion soit effective le 1er janvier 2010. Le nouveau cabinet portera le nom de Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon, S.E.N.C.R.L. et comptera près de 90 avocats spécialisés dans les domaines du droit des affaires, assurances, bancaire, environnement, faillite et insolvabilité, fiscalité, franchise, immobilier, international, licences et technologie, litige civil et commercial, recours collectif, propriété intellectuelle, transport et travail.

I don't get it. We have 27 of "these". Are you in any way connected to law practice and at the same time are totally unable to reference something more precisely than using the "these" word ?

Please understand that some of these ugly comments affect the people who work in both our firms. They are human. They feel. They suffer. Try to remember that before you pen something rude and hurtful.
Will this merger work? Who knows? Probably not. Only time will tell. Will we lose lawyers as a consequence of this merger? Of course we will. Through some voluntary departures and some anticipated dismissals, we will be less than the 90 we are today. Will we be profitable? Yes, we believe we will. We have 40 new associates and partners who will assume our lease costs and overhead, so, in time, we will get out of the red. Will we lose our identity? Yes. This is a guarantee. This merged firm looks nothing like what we had before. In short, we are rolling the dice and we are crossing our fingers.
Please stop with the comments. Let's all go back to work. Give this merged firm a chance to prove your predictions right.

Nom mais il va me faire pleurer cet associé, avec son pleurnichage à 4 pour une piastre au Dollarama.
Quiconque serait affecté par les commentaires apparaissant sur blog n'aurait rien à faire dans un cabinet aspirant à faire davantage que des incorporations d'entreprises à un actionnaire.
